More than 100 researchers meet at the ULYSSEUS EUROPEAN UNIVERSITY COMPASS RESEARCHERS’ DAYS IN SEVILLE
On June 22-23, more than 100 researchers meet in person in Seville and enjoy a broad range of activities such as seminars, workshops and visits to faculties and key research centres of the University of Seville.
This seminar will highlight existing actions in the alliance towards the goal of achieving smart and climate-neutral cities amongst our regions and will inspire innovative actions to take place within our community, including citizens, academia, and businesses and implement transformative processes.

HRS4R is one of the key activities of COMPASS, the flagship project for the Ulysseus R&I agenda. Its aim is to establish Ulysseus as a model of excellence for research and innovation.

The team gathered yesterday to discuss a variety of topics within the project such as Open Science, gender, European Research Area hubs, and the status of Ulysseus Research and Innovation agenda and strategy
On 21 April at 1 pm CET, Ulysseus Artificial Intelligence Innovation Hub, based at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, will host the webinar titled “Human-Centric Artificial Intelligence and its applications”. At this webinar Stephan Schögl, Tuomas Varanka, Himanshu Sahni and Heli Kortesalmi will discuss about different topics on the interaction of users and artificial intelligence (AI) such as social machines, human emotion recognition and machine learning for digitalisation in education and research, among others.
On 29 March at 3pm CET, Ulysseus Digital Innovation Hub, based at Technical University of Košice, will host the webinar titled “Digitalization in life: a multidisciplinary approach”. At this webinar Radoslav Delina, Radovan Hudak and Richard Kitta will explain how digitization or the use of data is affecting our daily lives.
On 22 February at 2pm CET, Ulysseus Ageing and Well-being Innovation Hub, based at University Côte d’Azur, will host the webinar titled “New ideas for the age-old problem of aging”. This webinar will be led by Eric Gilson, Director of the IRCAN (Institute for research on Cancer and Aging) who will give an overview on the latest developments in the field of Aging Biology.
