The launch took place on 15 July, during the institutional visit of a delegation from Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar (UCAD). The toolkit was presented during a reception hosted by the Rector of the University of Seville as one of the key outcomes of Work Package 2 of the NEEMA project, funded by the Erasmus+ Programme.

The NEEMA Toolkit serves as a content management platform that enables users to access and develop training materials, projects, reports, regulations, and other resources related to food security and nutrition. The platform brings together reports, scientific articles, databases, statistics, case studies, and specialized documentation, all organized in an intuitive way to support researchers, academics, policymakers, and professionals working in the field.

The objective of this tool is to contribute to the adaptation of European sustainability policies, particularly the European Green Deal and the Farm to Fork Strategy, to the context of the Sahel and West Africa. Through this initiative, NEEMA seeks to promote more resilient food systems capable of addressing the social, economic, and climate-related challenges affecting the region.

The platform has been developed by a multidisciplinary team of academics from the University of Seville involved in the implementation of the project. Experts from a wide range of disciplines, including computer science, biology, law, economics, and health sciences, have contributed to its design, providing the toolkit with a comprehensive and cross-disciplinary approach.

With this launch, the NEEMA project takes another important step in its commitment to generating and transferring knowledge to strengthen food and nutritional resilience in West Africa, while fostering collaboration among universities, institutions, and key stakeholders across the region.

The NEEMA Toolkit is now available through the project website.
