Innovation starts with you. This is a hands-on, reflective online course designed to help you build the mindset and skills needed to shape meaningful, sustainable futures, both for yourself and for the world around you. In a time shaped by complexity, uncertainty, and cultural diversity, the ability to think creatively, act with empathy, and navigate change is more important than ever. This course guides you through key innovation skills, such as systems thinking, futures literacy, and intercultural awareness, and helps you apply them to your own goals and context.

The course is delivered online through the Ulysseus Moodle platform.

Course content

This asynchronous self-paced, standalone online course invites student to explore how innovation and futures thinking intersect in shaping sustainable, human-centered change. Participants will engage with key concepts, tools, and examples that connect innovation to emerging global challenges and opportunities. From developing future-oriented skills to understanding innovation in intercultural and complex systems, the course encourages reflective and applied learning. It culminates in a personal assignment where students integrate insights from innovation, futures, and entrepreneurship to envision their own role as future changemakers.
