Working Meeting of Partners within the Erasmus+ METACOG Project Held at the Faculty of Maritime Studies Kotor

The aim of the meeting was to review the project’s implementation to date, analyse progress across all work packages, and define upcoming activities and next steps for the forthcoming implementation period. During the three-day programme, partners discussed the development of teaching materials and content, the preparation of national pilot activities, the creation of the MOOC platform, as well as the strengthening of project dissemination activities.
Particular focus was placed on the exchange of experiences among partner institutions and the enhancement of cooperation in the field of AI literacy development and combating disinformation in contemporary European societies.

As part of the meeting, working sessions were organised on project management, the review of work package implementation, curriculum development and collaborative learning with students, as well as activities related to digital educational tools and the Ulysseus Moodle platform. Partners had the opportunity to exchange experiences in the implementation of project tasks, identify implementation challenges, and define joint activities for the next phase of the project.

Within the project activities, an interactive workshop with students dedicated to the development of an AI literacy curriculum was also organised on 5 May 2026. The workshop was led by Jeffrey Dahl from The Hague University of Applied Sciences, one of the partner institutions within the METACOG project.

The aim of the workshop was to gather students’ feedback on the artificial intelligence curriculum being developed within the project, as well as to actively involve students in the creation of future educational content in the field of AI. Participants had the opportunity to share their opinions, propose ideas, and discuss the importance of developing AI competencies, digital skills, and critical thinking in contemporary education.

The METACOG project aims to develop an innovative AI literacy programme focused on understanding, recognising, and managing disinformation in European societies through an interdisciplinary approach, international cooperation, and the development of modern educational content. The project is implemented with the support of the Erasmus+ KA220 HED Cooperation Partnerships in Higher Education programme.
