The first dissemination seminar of the ENRICHER Hubs project was held in Tbilisi Georgia

Coordinator of the project, Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, played a central role in the ENRICHER hubs seminar, which took place in Georgia’s capital, Tbilisi, on September 30, 2025. The event was hosted by the project’s Georgian university partner, Caucasus University.

The seminar was opened by ENRICHER hubs project manager Nora Lappalainen (Haaga-Helia) together with Caucasus University’s Vice President Irena Melua. The conference showcased European best practices for promoting sustainable tourism and discussed the current state of green tourism in Georgia and Moldova.

The program included a keynote speech on Georgia’s green tourism transition and a panel discussion on the challenges and opportunities of sustainable tourism. Haaga-Helia highlighted its expertise in sustainable tourism development and international collaboration.

During the seminar, Caucasus University’s Green Tourism Hub was officially launched. The hub will serve as a collaborative development platform for students and stakeholders. The week continued with student workshops, project team meetings, and a visit to Telavi State University and its newly established Green Tourism Hub.

The Haaga-Helia team gained valuable experience in international cooperation, explored Georgian culture and hospitality, and strengthened networks for advancing sustainable tourism.

ENRICHER hubs – Designing green tourism concepts through learning is a Ulysseus satellite project coordinated by Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences and funded by Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education. The project develops sustainable tourism services and learning methods to support the green and digital transition in Georgia and Moldova by strengthening collaboration between higher education institutions and the tourism sector, and by establishing Green Tourism Hubs at local universities.
