More than 50 participants from Ulysseus universities join Entre Camp 2025 in Seville to shape the cities of the future
Empowering students to co-create innovative solutions for smarter, greener and more inclusive European cities.
Seville, 6 June 2025 – This week, the city of Seville became the innovation hub of Ulysseus European University with the celebration of Entre Camp 2025 – Smart Cities and Regions, an intensive five-day training programme that has brought together over 40 master’s students and more than 50 participants, including coaches and trainers, from Ulysseus partner universities.
Hosted by the University of Seville from June 2 to 6, 2025, Entre Camp 2025 offered a unique opportunity for students from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds to co-create innovative solutions to real-world challenges related to digital transformation, climate change, inclusion, entrepreneurship, and the development of smart cities and regions.
The programme, held at the Antonio de Ulloa CRAI and other key locations across Seville, is based on challenge-based learning and guided by design thinking methodologies. Throughout the week, students worked in multicultural teams supported by expert coaches to develop sustainable and innovative solutions to three real challenges proposed by:
- The City Council of Seville
- The Port Authority of Seville
- Climaton Labs
One of the highlights of the programme was the visit to ESPACIO RES, where participants discovered firsthand the innovative work of local start-ups such as Habily and Hidra+, gaining valuable insights into entrepreneurship and sustainable business practices.
In addition to teamwork and coaching sessions, the agenda includes inspiring talks, interactive workshops, networking activities, and cultural visits, giving participants the chance to experience Seville’s vibrant social and innovation ecosystem.
Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs)
EntreCamp 2025 is part of the Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP) promoted by Ulysseus and co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme. With 5 ECTS credits, it enhances participants’ skills in entrepreneurship, teamwork, critical thinking and intercultural communication, preparing them to become active contributors to the transformation of European cities and regions. With initiatives like EntreCamp, Ulysseus reaffirms its commitment to building a smarter, more sustainable and inclusive future for Europe.
