BOOST IN completes its first partner meeting in Košice
The BOOST IN project was officially launched on 13 November 2025 in Nice with a successful Kick-off Meeting that brought together partners from across Europe to embark on a shared journey toward fostering more inclusive and innovative approaches to internationalisation in higher education.
The first partner meeting of BOOST IN was hosted by Technical University of Košice and marked the second in-person gathering of the consortium within the Ulysseus Alliance. This was an important step in advancing BOOST IN’s commitment to innovative learning, international cooperation and the development of internationalisation opportunities for students and academic staff across the Ulysseus alliance.
A key focus was the launch of the project’s open courses under Work Package 2 (WP2). Partners reviewed the progress of learning materials, the coherence of microlearning modules and micro-challenges, and the criteria for awarding digital badges. The consortium also discussed dissemination and student recruitment strategies ahead of the planned November launch. Partners will collaborate on promotional activities through university websites, institutional communication channels and international events to maximise student participation.
Under Work Package 3 (WP3), partners explored the development and implementation of Virtual Exchange (VE) and Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) activities. These initiatives may involve creating new collaborations, expanding existing activities to additional partners or integrating international learning experiences into established courses.
Preparations for the first edition of the Ulysseus International Programme, scheduled for November 2026, were also discussed. This fully virtual initiative will offer students from different academic disciplines and study levels an interactive international learning experience, with further editions planned for 2027 and 2028.
The meeting addressed the programme’s structure, technical requirements, partner responsibilities and communication strategy. Recorded sessions will also support asynchronous participation, extending access to learning materials beyond the live sessions.

Another important topic was the Ulysseus International Impact Label, which aims to recognise courses with a verified international dimension, encourage internationalisation at home and acknowledge the efforts of academic staff. Partners reviewed the application procedure and preparations for a first call.
Following the meeting, the BOOST IN team is moving forward to begin launching its initial activities. Consequently, the Ulysseus website will start featuring new programs and courses open to all universities within the Ulysseus alliance and beyond.
