This webinar has been developed as part of CURATE, a project funded by Erasmus+ and coordinated by Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences. CURATE aims to develop an incubator program centered on the use of AI to enhance the entrepreneurial journey. Partnering with institutions such as Université Côte d’Azur, Technical University of Košice, MCI | The Entrepreneurial School®, and the University of Münster, CURATE combines expertise in AI and entrepreneurship.

Speakers of the Event

Julia Reinhard

Panel host and CURATE Project Manager

Julia has 6+ years of experience in the Finnish startup ecosystem as part of startups and growth companies, and as a board member and Executive Director of a non-profit. She currently works as an RDI Project Manager at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, where she manages, co-writes and designs EU projects on the topics of entrepreneurship, AI, DEI and women’s empowerment.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in International Business from Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences and is pursuing an MBA in Service Design and Innovation. One of Julia’s main goals is to guide students to a deeper understanding of the possibilities of developing an entrepreneurial mindset and the opportunities of the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Evelin Bako

Business Developer at Fygë

Evelin is an entrepreneurial business development-, and marketing professional with a passion for building things from the ground up. Currently serving as a business developer at Fygë, a startup transforming the way corporate catering works, she’s at the forefront of shaping the new, technological landscape of the industry.

Prior to her current role, she worked at Huawei Finland R&D center, gaining insights to the European tech ecosystem and corporate business operations. During her studies, she was a proactive force in building Finland’s startup ecosystem, empowering students to cultivate successful ventures and develop essential entrepreneurial skills. With a blend of strategic acumen and hands-on experience, Evelin is dedicated to driving meaningful change and inspiring others to embark on their own journey of creation and growth.

Cornel Ungreanu

Executive Director of XES Helsinki

Cornel has lived independently across five countries by age 25 which has triggered a profound journey of rapid personal and professional growth. Each destination has imparted valuable lessons in resilience, cultural sensitivity, and the importance of embracing change, enabling him to flourish in diverse settings and build perspective. His path has been a testament to a relentless commitment to continuous learning and adaptability, virtues that are indispensable in today’s ever-evolving business landscape.

Cornel’s motto is “to be the best version of myself,” and curiosity is his compass. He believes that the value derived from our experiences is limited only by our willingness to engage and learn. Cornel is the current Executive Director of XES Helsinki, a student-led association of entrepreneurially minded people.

Tamara Verenich

Communications Specialist at KONE

Tamara is the former Head of Communications for XES Helsinki and is now a Communications Specialist at KONE, which is the third-largest company in Finland. At KONE, she actively contributes to the IT Transformation Project, a significant initiative at the forefront of KONE’s future.

Tamara holds a bachelor’s degree in advertising and PR and is currently pursuing a degree in International Business with a major in Marketing & Sales at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences.

In addition to her career in communications, she is also a public speaker, leveraging her communication skills to engage and inspire audiences.

Umair Khan

Senior Researcher in Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences

Umair Al Khan holds a Ph.D. degree in information technology and Master’s degree in intelligent transportation systems. He is working as a senior researcher at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, focusing mainly on AI applications, machine learning, digitalization, and other related topics.

He also serves as an AI advisor in the FAIR EDIH project to help startups and established companies integrate AI into their solutions. He is also a member of the Applied AI for Business and Education Innovation hubs steering committee.
