UlySA Renews Its Steering Committee and Elects Mădălina Condrea as New President
Twenty-four student representatives meet at the UlySA Bootcamp at Université Côte d’Azur to strengthen collaboration, leadership and student engagement across the alliance.
From 6 to 10 July, the Université Côte d’Azur is hosting the second UlySA Bootcamp. The event brings together all members of the Ulysseus Student Association (UlySA), which includes a Student Assembly of 24 students, with three representatives from each Ulysseus partner institution. During the bootcamp, students from across the Alliance, together with one staff member from each university, meet to review the academic year and plan activities and priorities for the course ahead.
After two days of interactive activities at the Valrose Campus, UlySA moved to the IMREDD Campus on 8 July to hold its elections. The eight members of the Steering Committee cast their votes and elected Mădălina Condrea as the new President of UlySA, in accordance with the statutes approved when the association was officially established in October 2024. She now becomes the second president of UlySA, following the two-year consecutive term of Théo Bloemen, who is completing his studies at Haaga-Helia this year.

In her candidacy, Mădălina Condrea introduced herself as a student originally from Chișinău (Moldova) who is currently studying for a BA in Business & Management at MCI | The Entrepreneurial School. Her programme focused on strengthening student representation, connecting more students across the Alliance, promoting Ulysseus opportunities, finalising UlySA’s legal entity, expanding European partnerships, and encouraging knowledge sharing and social media engagement, among other priorities.

Following the election, UlySA’s Steering Committee has been renewed as follows:
- Sara Bonay Yusta Guerrero (USE), UlySA Buddy Coordinator
- Mohamed-Wael Ben-Khaled (UniCA), UlySA Vice-president 1
- Carlo Riccardo Raggi (UniGE), UlySA Events Manager
- Patrik Polák (TUKE), UlySA Vice-president 2
- Mădălina Condrea (MCI) UlySA President
- llya Taranenko (Haaga-Helia), UlySA Financial Manager
- Jule Teresa Erdmann (UM), UlySA Communication Manager
- Vuk Rradusinovic (UoM), UlySA Vice-president 3
Alongside the elections, participants in the UlySA Bootcamp are reviewing the current Action Plan adopted in Košice last October. The process includes evaluating progress achieved since its adoption, refining existing objectives and timelines, and identifying new priorities and initiatives for the coming academic year.
In parallel, UlySA is actively involved in organising the 5th European Youth Energy Forum (EYEF), which will take place at the Université Côte d’Azur from 26 to 29 October 2026. EYEF will bring together students, young professionals, and researchers from across Europe and the Mediterranean to exchange ideas and develop solutions for the energy transition.
