This BIP focuses on the role of digital innovation in driving entrepreneurial thinking and fostering new economic opportunities. It will examine how higher education institutions can support start-ups, promote innovation ecosystems, and collaborate with industry stakeholders. Participants will analyse digital tools, methodologies, and best practices that empower students, researchers, and innovators to transform ideas into impactful solutions.

Course Highlitghts

This BIP focuses on the role of digital innovation in driving entrepreneurial thinking and fostering new economic opportunities. It will examine how higher education institutions can support start-ups, promote innovation ecosystems, and collaborate with industry stakeholders. Participants will analyse digital tools, methodologies, and best practices that empower students, researchers, and innovators to transform ideas into impactful solutions.  This BIP aims to enhance participants’ understanding of digital innovation and entrepreneurship in higher education. Participants will explore digital tools, incubators, and challenge-based approaches that support start-up development and innovation ecosystems, with a focus on designing digitally enabled green and social entrepreneurship solutions.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this BIP, participants will be able to analyse digital entrepreneurship ecosystems in higher education, identify relevant stakeholders, and select appropriate digital tools to support start-up development. They will also be able to design a basic model for a university incubator, apply challenge-based learning approaches, and develop digitally supported green or social entrepreneurship concepts.

The physical mobility part will be held from 22 to 26 June 2026 in Nice, France.

Virtual Component

The virtual component will be held from 04 to 21 June 2026.

It will be conducted through Universite Cote d’Azur open courses platform. A webinar will be held prior to the on-site phase, on Thursday, 4 June. It will allow participants to get to know each other, introduce the BIP, and present the various activities planned. In addition, a learning pathway on the Moodle platform will be made available so that participants can familiarize themselves with the content and complete preparatory exercises ahead of the physical meeting in Nice. This asynchronous component is estimated at 7–8 hours.
