Ulysseus Hosts “Women in Tech: Leading the Digital Transformation” for International Girls in ICT Day

This dynamic discussion will bring together students, alumni, and professionals from Ulysseus European University to share their experiences, discuss challenges, and explore the growing opportunities within the tech industry. A key focus will be on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI), highlighting the importance of building a tech sector that welcomes and supports women at every stage of their journey.

International Girls in ICT Day is a global initiative held annually on the fourth Thursday of April to encourage girls and young women to consider careers in tech. As the digital world rapidly evolves, this day serves as a reminder of the crucial role women play—and must continue to play—in shaping the future of AI, cybersecurity, robotics, data science, and beyond.

The roundtable will include insights from the following participants:

The agenda features panelist introductions, short presentations on emerging tech fields, a collaborative discussion on personal journeys and challenges in ICT, and final reflections offering practical advice for the next generation.

This event will be moderated by Rita Bencivenga, expert in gender studies, equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI), particularly in STEM and ICT from Università degli Studi di Genova.
