The University of Seville Welcomes Two New Cohorts to Ulysseus Joint Master Degrees, Marking a New Era in European Academic Cooperation
New students of the joint master degrees CitiesMD and imAGEin start today in Seville their international study experience with Ulysseus European University.
The University of Seville proudly welcomes these new cohorts for the two pioneering programmes: CitiesMD – Joint European Master Degree in Efficient and Sustainable Energy, Transport and Mobility to Build the Smart Cities of the Future, and imAGEin – Erasmus Mundus Joint Master in the Biology of Ageing.
This occasion marks a significant milestone in the joint academic journey of Ulysseus, reflecting its strong commitment to innovation, internationalization, and excellence in higher education.
Both programmes are designed as international, flexible, and mobility-driven pathways, offering students the unique opportunity to study across several European universities while receiving a fully accredited joint diploma. Courses are delivered in English, ensuring accessibility to a diverse global community of learners.

CitiesMD
CitiesMD, coordinated by the University of Seville, provides students with advanced interdisciplinary training in energy, transport, mobility, and smart cities. The programme combines scientific and technical knowledge with transversal skills in digitalization, languages, creativity, innovation, leadership, and entrepreneurship. With its modular structure, students benefit from embedded mobility experiences across partner universities, virtual or blended learning opportunities, and tailored traineeships that adapt to their professional or research ambitions.
Upon graduation, students will earn a Joint European Master Degree diploma awarded by the University of Seville (Spain), Université Côte d’Azur (France), and with mobility opportunities at MCI | The Entrepreneurial School ® (Austria), Technical University of Košice (Slovakia), University of Genoa (Italy), and Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences (Finland).
CitiesMD is designed for students and professionals with technical backgrounds such as energy engineering, robotics, aerospace, civil and building engineering, and related fields, who aim to work or conduct research in the dynamic area of smart cities.

ImAGEin
Complementing this programme, the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master in the Biology of Ageing (imAGEin) addresses one of Europe’s most pressing societal challenges: the health consequences of an ageing population. Coordinated by Université Côte d’Azur, and in collaboration with leading institutions such as the University of Seville (Spain), the University of Cologne and CECAD (Germany), Sorbonne Université (France) and University of Coimbra (Portugal), imAGEin combines expertise in biology, biomedical research, biotechnology, and innovation. The curriculum emphasizes both fundamental and applied research, while requiring physical mobility between partner countries to foster international collaboration and knowledge exchange.
Together, these programmes embody Ulysseus’ mission to equip students with critical skills, global perspectives, and innovative mindsets to tackle complex challenges. By joining Ulysseus European University, students begin a transformative educational journey that prepares them to lead in research, innovation, and professional practice in a rapidly changing world.
