The University of Seville Welcomes Students of the Ulysseus Joint Master Degree in AI for Business Transformation
The University of Seville (USE) proudly welcomes the students of the Ulysseus Joint Master Degree in AI for Business Transformation, who are spending their third semester at USE as part of the programme’s international mobility pathway. As part of the programme’s international mobility pathway, students choose between Seville and the Technical University of Košice for this semester.
A total of eight students, who started the programme in January 2025 at Haaga-Helia before moving to MCI in Austria for their second semester, are now continuing their studies in Seville. During their stay, they will have the opportunity to experience three different University of Seville campuses, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in the academic, cultural, and international life of the institution.
“This semester, students will take several courses focused on applying artificial intelligence technologies and techniques to business processes,” explained Beatriz Pontes, Associate Professor of the Computing School of the University of Seville and local coordinator of the AI for Business Transformation programme at the University of Seville. “Among other areas, they will study data analysis applied to marketing, human resource management, recommendation systems, and other key disciplines that directly connect AI with real business challenges.”

Since its launch, the programme has generated exceptional interest, receiving over 500 applications from candidates both locally and internationally. This strong response reflects the growing demand for advanced skills at the intersection of artificial intelligence, technology, and business transformation.
AI for Business Transformation is a two-year, 120 ECTS joint Master’s degree coordinated by Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences and jointly offered with two Ulysseus European University alliance member institutions: the Technical University of Košice (TUKE) and the University of Seville (USE). The programme also benefits from the cooperation of Université Côte d’Azur, the University of Genoa, and Management Center Innsbruck.

Students will graduate with a joint degree awarded by Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences (Finland) and the University of Seville (Spain). The curriculum has been co-created and is delivered by six Ulysseus partners, combining artificial intelligence and business information technology to prepare graduates for leadership roles in AI-driven business transformation.
The programme emphasizes collaboration with businesses, international mobility, and multidisciplinary learning. It has also been awarded the prestigious European Approach Accreditation and is the first European Joint Master Degree coordinated by a Finnish University of Applied Sciences, reinforcing its position as a flagship initiative in European higher education.
