Ulysseus Pedagogical Experts Gather in Seville to Drive Teaching Innovation
The working group, coordinated by Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, advances the development of a pedagogical guide for faculty members and explores new student-centered teaching strategies.

This week the University of Seville is hosting the Ulysseus Pedagogical Group meeting. This group, composed of representatives from the eight universities forming Ulysseus and coordinated by Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences (Finland), meets twice a year in person to advance the development of the Ulysseus Education and Pedagogy Ecosystem.
Participants in the Seville meeting are working on drafting the preliminary version of the pedagogical guide, a document designed to support faculty members engaged in teaching activities organized by Ulysseus, such as Joint Masters, Blended Intensive Programs (BIPs), and Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) experiences.
This guide, expected to be available soon on the Ulysseus website, will provide recommendations and resources to promote student-centered learning, competency-based education, the integration of digital tools, and the enhancement of students’ employability and research skills.
“We are committed to teaching innovation and the creation of a high-quality learning environment for all members of the Ulysseus community,” stated Irma Kunnari, professor at Haaga-Helia University and coordinator of the group.

Workshop with University of Seville Faculty Members
Prior to the meeting, the Haaga-Helia team present in Seville took the opportunity to engage with faculty members from the University of Seville to introduce the group’s proposals and gather their insights. During a participatory workshop held yesterday, Tuesday, at the Pabellón de México, an open dialogue took place to enrich the pedagogical guide and ensure it meets the needs and expectations of educators.
