Ulysseus participates in the European Researchers’ Night with a series of video-interviews with scientists
On 24 September 2021, Ulysseus European University will join the European Researchers’ Night — an annual event coordinated by Marie Skłodowska Curie Actions (MSCA) which aims at bringing research and researchers closer to the public and to showcase the impact of their work on people’s daily life. The initiative will combine face-to-face and online activities celebrated across 371 cities in Europe.
For this occasion, Ulysseus will hold a series of video-interviews on sustainability and environmental related challenges with the following scientists and researchers from each of its partner universities:
Dr. Minna-Maari Harmaala, Principal Lecturer at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences (Finland);
Dr. Andreas Walter, Researcher in Biotechnology and Food engineering at MCI | The Entrepreneurial School® and Ulysseus Innovation Hub Officer for Food, Biotechnology and Circular Economy (MCI, Austria);
Dr. Martina Zeleňáková, Full Professor at the Institute of Environmental Engineering of the Technical University of Košice (Slovakia);
Dr. Adel Ben Youssef, Full Professor at the Higher Institute of Economics and Management of Université Côte d’Azur (France);
Dr. Paolo Piccardo, Associate Professor at the Department of Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry of the University of Genoa (Italy); and
Dr. Daniel Coq Huelva, Full Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at the Institute of Latin American Studies of the University of Seville (Spain).
This virtual activity will take place on Friday 24th September through six video-interviews that will be broadcasted from 6 to 8 p.m. (CET) on the Ulysseus’ Facebook, Youtube and LinkedIn official pages. Circular economy, climate change, green transition, renewable energy and waste management will be some of the topics under discussion which are closely related to the European Green Deal, a common theme at the 2021 European Researchers’s Night and one of the political priorities of the European Commission.
Additionally, four alliance members are taking part at this Europe-wide public event with projects funded by Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions — Technical University of Košice, Slovakia (ERN 2021 SVK); Université Côte d’Azur, France (VOYAGES); the University of Genoa, Italy (SHARPER) and the University of Seville, Spain (OPENRESEARCHERS2021).
