Ulysseus Miles
Get involved. Collect Miles. Shape the community.
What if we told you that being active in Ulysseus could help you ride home on a brand-new bike, cycling your way along the Ulysseus pathways? Or that each activity you involve in could bring you a step closer to a brand new pair of wireless headphones, a cool reusable mug, a gym membership, or other meaningful rewards?
Ulysseus Miles is a pilot programme designed to recognise, value and reward the active engagement of students and staff across the Ulysseus Alliance. More than a points system, Ulysseus Miles is launched to strengthen our shared sense of belonging and celebrate the people who make our community so vibrant and dynamic!
Starting from 1 January 2026, every time you take part in Ulysseus activities, you don’t just gain knowledge, skills, and international experience – you also collect Miles that can be redeemed for exciting rewards.
Rewards are offered in line with each partner university’s policies, and we invite you to approach the Miles Managers within each partner university to check the available awards and redeem your favourite!
Who can participate?
The programme is open to:
- students,
- academic staff,
- administrative staff
from all ULYSSEUS partner institutions.
The programme is open to students, academic staff, and administrative staff from all Ulysseus partner institutions, reflecting the alliance’s commitment to an inclusive and collaborative approach that engages the entire university community.
Note: Staff members already engaged in the implementation of the Ulysseus project are not eligible to redeem awards through the MILES programme.
How can Miles be earned?
Miles can be earned through coordination of or participation in:

- acknowledges engagement and contribution,
- encourages active participation in international initiatives,
- enhances the visibility and impact of the ULYSSEUS Alliance,
- connects the academic community through shared values and goals.
We invite you to join, get involved, and become part of the ULYSSEUS Miles programme.
How does Ulysseus Miles work?
Collect and Submit Miles
- Miles can be collected only for activities carried out from 1 January 2026 onwards. Retroactive collection for activities completed in previous years (e.g. 2025) is not possible.
- Activity accounts are submitted via an online form provided at your partner university Miles page (see below).
- Applicants need to upload proof of completed activities, such as certificates, badges, event photos or even screenshots, depending on the activity type.
- Submissions should be made once the Miles have been earned.
- An applicant can wait to collect a targeted number of miles, in order to redeem a desired, higher value award.
Rewards and Recognition
- Collected Miles can be redeemed for gifts and awards from local university catalogues (e.g. notebooks, technical equipment, subscriptions/membership, vouchers, bicycles, travel tickets, etc.).
- Each partner university defines its own award catalogue, ensuring sustainability and local relevance, while maintaining comparable recognition levels across the alliance.
Redeem Miles for Awards
- Awards distribution is organised once per semester or once per academic year (check it on your University Miles page).
- Awards are allocated on a first come, first serve basis – the faster you collect the Miles, and submit your Miles claim through Google Form, the better are your chances of getting the desired prize!
- The stock of awards is limited – and only available while supplies last.
