Final CURATE Bootcamp held in Münster Highlights European Co-Creation in Action

The CURATE Incubator Program reached an important milestone this September with its second and final international bootcamp, hosted at the University of Münster in Germany with the REACH EUREGIO Start-up Center.

What started in spring 2025 at the Technical University of Košice (TUKE) in Slovakia developed over five months into a collaborative journey, bringing together students, universities, and companies from across Europe.

As Ulysseus Satellite Project, CURATE provides learning environments where students with diverse academic, cultural, and personal backgrounds join forces to solve real-world business challenges. Along the way, they enhance their AI literacy, strengthen entrepreneurial competences, and gain hands-on experience in interdisciplinary and international teamwork.

The Münster bootcamp’s blended format enabled 52 students to participate, 32 in person and 20 remotely, reflecting its accessible approach to international partnership.

Why Internationalization Matters

In today’s interconnected economy, internationalization is no longer optional, it is essential. For future entrepreneurs, working across cultures, navigating global markets, and collaborating in diverse teams are skills that drive success.

For students, international collaboration means developing practical capabilities, expanding networks, and gaining the confidence to tackle complex challenges. These experiences foster open-mindedness, adaptability, and resilience, qualities crucial for shaping Europe’s entrepreneurial future.

From Real Challenges to Tangible Impact

In partnership with nine European companies from Finland, Austria, Germany, Slovakia and France, student teams co-created innovative solutions to ten pressing business challenges in areas including sustainability, health, AI, and civic engagement:

Citizen Science for Ocean and Environmental Protection (Kahi Kai)

Digital Health & Mental Wellbeing (Minduu / AtCare Oy, Mavie)

Sustainable Energy Solutions (VSE – Energie pre vaše domácnosti a firmy)

Skin Research & Product Innovation (Dermatest GmbH)

Civic Engagement & Smart Communities (comuneo)

Sports & Lifestyle E-Commerce (GymBeam)

AI-Based Feedback and Community Platforms (Fygë, wiasano)

Citizen Science for Ocean and Environmental Protection (Kahi Kai)

Guided by coaches from academia and industry, the students carried out user research, developed prototypes, and built early-stage business cases, taking on real responsibility and building entrepreneurial experience.

A European Network for Innovation and Learning

CURATE incubator program was delivered in close collaboration between Ulysseus partner universities: Technical University of Košice, Université Côte d’Azur, MCI | The Entrepreneurial School®, the University of Münster, and Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences. The program was further strengthened by the involvement of experts, coaches, and companies from across Europe. The diversity of participants, from different countries, disciplines, and sectors, was at the heart of CURATE’s success, making it a vibrant example of European co-creation in practice
