History of Brazil from 1889 to the 1960s (Fall Semester 2025)

The courses will cover the history of Brazil from the “Republica Velha” to the Vargas era. We will also explore the role played by the United States in Brazil since World War II. The courses will be taught in Portuguese and will allow you to better understand the political and economic complexity of this great country.
