Introduction to Design Thinking

Are you new to Design Thinking and eager to understand what it’s all about? You are welcome to our beginner-friendly Design Thinking MOOC. You’ll explore Design Thinking not only as a process, but also as a mindset, a set of practices, and a way of thinking that can transform how you approach problems in different fields.

Through real-life cases and insightful interviews with entrepreneurs, you’ll see how Design Thinking is applied in practice to solve challenges, drive innovation, and make a real impact.

Unlike many traditional MOOCs, this course does not include quizzes or tests. Instead, all course assignments are based onreflection, which enables you to think how Design Thinking relates to your academic journey, personal life, and future career. The course has a duration of 4 weeks.

As a Ulysseus student you can continue your learning journey in the course Sustainable Design Thinking, which begins 9.3.2026 and ends 10.5.2026. These two courses, Introduction to Design Thinking (1 ECTS) and Sustainable Design Thinking (3 ECTS) form together a micro-credential called Sustainable Impact Through Design Thinking.
