PATH Moves Forward: Partners Unite in Nice to Shape the Project’s Next Steps

On 14 November 2025, representatives from all partner universities gathered at the Saint-Jean d’Angély campus of Université Côte d’Azur in Nice for the project’s first in-person technical meeting.

Coordinated by the University of Seville, the meeting served to present and discuss the first design phase of the PATH prototype. This initial work integrates the requirements collected through multiple consultations held over the last months of work with academic and career guidance professionals across the consortium.

During the session, partners also received updates on additional project tasks, including the ongoing analysis of the European regulatory framework for AI and the organisation of next year’s online Open Innovation Forum on AI and Career Guidance Services.

All attendees validated the progress made so far and agreed on the roadmap for the coming months. The consortium will now continue refining the prototype’s architecture, incorporating the suggestions raised in Nice, with the objective of finalizing the design by the end of the year. Meanwhile, partner institutions will advance with their respective responsibilities within the project.

The meeting took place in an atmosphere of warm hospitality provided by Université Côte d’Azur. Partners expressed feeling exceptionally welcomed, and the sunny November weather offered the perfect opportunity to briefly enjoy Nice’s striking turquoise coastline, local cuisine, and charming streets.

This gathering also highlighted the value of bringing together universities from across Europe to work toward a shared vision. By combining diverse perspectives, experiences, and expertise, PATH strengthens Ulysseus’ capacity to design innovative and ethical solutions for academic and career guidance. This collaborative spirit will ultimately benefit future Ulysseus students, who will gain access to more informed, inclusive, and future-ready support services.

What is the PATH Project?

PATH is a 30-month Erasmus+ project (KA220-HED – Cooperation Partnerships in Higher Education) dedicated to strengthening academic and career guidance services across six partner universities through the development of an ethical AI-powered tool. Led by the University of Seville, the initiative brings together Université Côte d’Azur (France), the University of Genova (Italy), the Technical University of Košice(Slovakia), MCI | The Entrepreneurial School® (Austria), and Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences (Finland).

As a satellite initiative of the Ulysseus European University, PATH builds on the alliance’s commitment to innovation, excellence, and shared European values in higher education.
