Recognition

The Ulysseus Academic Recognition Board, representing all alliance partners, monitors the recognition of studies. However, final recognition decisions are made based on each partner university’s national and institutional regulations.

To start the process, contact the appropriate person at your institution—this could be a guidance counsellor, mobility officer, or degree program director. Visit your university’s website to identify whom to contact and learn how to complete the recognition process.

Ulysseus Higher Education and Pedagogical Ecosystem

The Ulysseus Higher Education and Pedagogical Ecosystem is a framework for integrated academic offerings and pedagogical innovation. It is divided in three committees overseeing the development of the Ulysseus academic offerings:

  • Ulysseus Committee for Joint Programmes: Supports the development of joint program agreements, policies and quality assurance.
  • Ulysseus Joint Educational Committee: Oversees quality assurance for joint, flexible, and short learning pathways such as virtual courses and micro-credentials
  • Steering Group of Pedagogical Development: Ensures the implementation of Ulysseus pedagogical guidelines established in the “Pedagogical Mentoring Handbook (link).”

Ulysseus educators are trained in innovative, learner-centric pedagogics such as design for learning, inclusive teaching methods, integration of research and innovation and challenge- or work-based learning (e.g., traineeships and the work-study model). Artificial intelligence and data analytics are utilized to identify competence gaps and future-proof skill needs.
