From Pilots to Practice: Making AI Work at Scale in Organisations

This one-hour hybrid session provides a practical introduction to how organisations can move from experimenting with AI to using it effectively at scale. Through real-world examples from business and higher education, participants will learn how AI can save time, support everyday work, improve decision-making, and enhance planning and customer support.

 

The session consists of a 30-minute expert presentation followed by a 30-minute moderated Q&A with the audience. For on-site participants, the event concludes with informal networking over a catered breakfast with coffee and sandwiches.

 

Designed for businesses, students, and university staff. On-site participation is limited, so please register as soon as possible.

Umair Ali Khan

Dr. Umair Ali Khan is a Senior AI Researcher at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in Information Technology from Alpen-Adria University, Austria. In his dual role at Haaga-Helia, Umair serves as both a senior researcher and an AI advisor, helping companies navigate their AI transformation journeys. As the AI Advisor for the Finnish AI Region (FAIR) project, he has advised over 150 companies on AI adoption, guiding them from initial use case identification and business value assessment through to the implementation of responsible AI solutions. His current research focuses on structured knowledge extraction, analysis, and processing using large language models, and developing frameworks that enable enterprise knowledge management and industrial workflow automation.”
