From 12-15 September 2022, over a hundred students and researchers attended the Ulysseus and Compass Summer School and Research Workshop on Food, Biotechnology and Circular Economy in Innsbruck, Austria.

Compass Research Workshop

The Ulysseus’ Innovation Hub of Food, Biotechnology & Circular Economy, led by MCI | The Entrepreneurial School in Austria,  invited researchers from the alliance working in the fields of food technology, agricultural sciences, biosciences, biotechnology, and circular economy to foster exchanges and get-together activities in order to build and strengthen future collaborations and research activities within and beyond the alliance. The aim of this event was to get in touch with the relevant players in the fields of food, biotechnology & circular economy; explore collaborations in forthcoming Horizon Europe and Erasmus + project proposals in the areas of food systems, biotechnology & circular economy; building consortia for Horizon and Erasmus + proposals and explore the development of joint study programs in this very same field.

Ulysseus Summer School

Ninety motivated, advanced students from Biotechnet and all Ulysseus institutions were invited to learn about the latest developments in the fields of food, biotechnology & circular economy. The program consisted of scientific presentations provided by invited researchers of all involved institutions and of career workshops with graduates and industry experts.
