The lecture “Wellbeing in Smart Cities: KPI & Local Policies” examines how quality‑of‑life data indicators, urban scenarios, and participatory methodologies can guide more inclusive and evidence‑based urban policies. By juxtaposing the Italian and Japanese state‑of‑the‑art, the session highlights complementary approaches to measuring urban wellbeing and the potential of integrated analytical systems for understanding contemporary urban complexity.
The online workshop will focus on how participatory and inclusive methods can challenge established hierarchies of knowledge production, embrace a plurality of expertise, and actively involve underrepresented or marginalised groups throughout research and educational processes. This approach not only democratises knowledge but also enriches outcomes by incorporating perspectives often overlooked in conventional settings.
Ulysseus European University invites secondary school students to participate in an international event designed to foster a deeper interest in science, research, and innovation. The event will take place on 24 October 2025, with in-person attendance in Slovakia and online participation from students in other Ulysseus countries.
