Kick-off meeting in Montenegro

On December 13-14 2023, 100 Ulysseus representatives gathered in Podgorica at the University of Montenegro for the Ulysseus Phase II Kick-off Event. This event designed to consolidate the achievements of Phase I while paving the way for the next phase.

Through reflection, collaborative discussions, and strategy sessions, the event seek to ensure alignment among both current and new member universities. The overarching aim was to strengthen the Ulysseus alliance’s vision of creating an inclusive, person-centred European university for future citizenship.

About this event

Back in July 2023, the European Commission announced that Ulysseus was one the European University Alliances selected for an additional 4 years funding with a grant of 12,8 million euro. With this announcement, Ulysseus not only secured its funding for the second phase of the project, but also started a new stage with 8 members universities.

On December 13-14 2023, the University of Montenegro hosted the Ulysseus Phase II Kick-off Event. Here, 100 Ulysseus representatives gathered in Podgorica to take part in collaborative discussions and strategic sessions aiming at aligning existing and new members of the alliance. The overarching aim was to strengthen the Ulysseus alliance’s vision of creating an inclusive, person-centred European university for future citizenship. At this new phase, Ulysseus will consolidate programmes and structures designed during the first phase of the project.
