The meeting was hosted by Université Côte d’Azur and marked the first in-person gathering of the consortium within the Ulysseus Alliance. Representatives from partner universities met to align on project objectives, exchange perspectives, and set the foundations for effective collaboration in the months ahead.

BOOST IN brings together a strong European consortium of higher education institutions, including MCI Management Center Innsbruck, Technical University of Košice, Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, University of Montenegro, Università degli Studi di Genova and Universidad de Sevilla.

The project aims to strengthen internationalisation strategies by developing open, reusable, and sustainable tools and practices that widen access to international learning opportunities, support the development of global and transversal skills, and promote institutional innovation.

Kick-off meeting in Nice marked the start of BOOST in in November 2025.

BOOST IN will roll out a set of concrete, collaborative activities designed to support higher education institutions in strengthening their internationalisation strategies. Key activities include:

  • Mapping and analysis of existing internationalisation practices across partner institutions, with a focus on inclusion, digital approaches, and institutional impact
  • Co-creation workshops and working groups bringing together academic and administrative staff to design innovative, scalable internationalisation models
  • Pilot actions and testing phases to experiment with new formats of international learning, including virtual and blended approaches
  • Capacity-building and training activities for staff, supporting skills development in digital internationalisation and change management
  • Development of open and reusable resources, toolkits, and guidelines that can be adopted by institutions beyond the consortium

The kick-off meeting in Nice set the tone for close cooperation and knowledge sharing across institutions. As BOOST IN moves forward, its results will remain openly available to ensure long-term impact beyond the project’s lifetime.

BOOST IN invites the wider higher education community to follow its progress and join the conversation as it works toward a more connected, accessible, and future-ready international learning landscape across Europe.
