Ulysseus Spanish Beginner 2

Learning outcomes

Participants will learn grammar and vocabulary to navigate real communication situations in Spanish through a series of Spanish language capsules. They will also have the opportunity to virtually explore the city of Seville.

By the end of the course, students will have acquired basic knowledge of the Spanish language, and they will be able to understand and use essential structures and vocabulary for everyday conversations, including self-presentation, writing simple messages for daily life needs in Spain, and behaving naturally in situations where cultural differences are relevant.

Course content

  • Grammatical Content: Structures for ordering food, making requests, and expressing preferences; grammatical concepts for talking about family; structures for discussing travel plans and seeking information; structures for describing physical conditions, expressing discomfort, and seeking medical assistance; structures for narrating past events, expressing opinions, and sharing anecdotes. 
  • Lexical Content: Vocabulary related to food, beverages, and getting around in a tapas bar; terms related to family relationships, personality, and family resemblances; vocabulary about travel, accommodations, transportation, and tourist attractions; medical vocabulary about common ailments and symptoms; terms related to activities, hobbies, and past experiences. 
  • Communicative Content: Immersion in the atmosphere of a tapas bar; discovering family life in Spain; a virtual trip to Seville; discussion about health issues; conversations about personal experiences.
