This course aims to deepen knowledge of Russian culture and civilization in the 19th century within its historical, socio-political, and cultural context.

- Alexander I and Napoleon I
- The Decembrist revolt in 1825
- The reign of Nicholas I
- The reigns of Alexander II and Alexander III: reforms and counter-reforms. Major intellectual movements
- Russian art and architecture in the 19th century
