Empowering Inclusive Internationalisation and Global Competence in Higher Education BOOST IN | Boosting Success through Internationalisation.
Boosting Success through Internationalisation is a European cooperation project funded by the Erasmus+ KA220-HED programme.
The project develops innovative and inclusive approaches to internationalisation through global competence development and internationalisation@home, integrating virtual and collaborative experiences into higher education learning environments.
BOOST IN is coordinated by Université Côte d’Azur and implemented by a strong European consortium of universities and higher education partners that are part of the Ulysseus Alliance: MCI Management Center Innsbruck, Technical University of Košice, Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, University of Montenegro, Università degli Studi di Genova and Universidad de Sevilla.
The project’s open and reusable outputs will continue to support internationalisation efforts across institutions long after the project ends.
Join us as we strengthen global skills, widen access to international learning opportunities, and promote institutional innovation that prepares learners and staff for a globalised, digital world.
Internationalisation Reimagined
BOOST IN brings together universities across Europe to create flexible and scalable tools that support students, academic staff, and administrative staff in developing global competence and inclusive international experiences—whether through virtual collaboration, curricular innovation, or peer-to-peer learning.
Our efforts align with the Ulysseus European University strategic goals of promoting innovative learning, digital transformation, and a more inclusive European Higher Education Area.
BOOST IN in Action
Building Global Competence
Boosting the ability to understand and act effectively in diverse cultural, social, and professional contexts is at the heart of BOOST IN. We design learning pathways that help participants:
- Understand global issues from multiple perspectives
- Collaborate across borders and disciplines
- Navigate digital and intercultural environments with confidence
Objectives
- Expand Global Competence. We provide structured and flexible learning pathways for students, academic staff, and administrative staff to build the skills needed to interact meaningfully in global contexts and broaden international opportunities beyond physical mobility.
- Foster Innovative Internationalisation. By promoting internationalisation@home and virtual engagement, BOOST IN contributes to greater participation in international experiences, especially for groups traditionally underrepresented in mobility.
- Promote Inclusive and Accessible Learning. The project emphasises inclusion by designing experiences that are accessible regardless of socio-economic background, physical ability, or previous international experience, making global learning environments more equitable and empowering.
Key Activities
- Microlearning modules & micro-challenges on global competence
- Virtual Global International Experiences and collaborative online formats
- Peer-to-peer mentoring and co-creation activities
