On September 27, 2024, Ulysseus will join the European Researchers’ Night with “Hope Through Cancer Research,” a compelling series of video-interviews featuring eight leading scientists from across Europe, each dedicated to revolutionizing cancer care.

The European Researchers’ Night, coordinated by Marie Skłodowska Curie Actions (MSCA), is an annual event designed to bridge the gap between research and the public, offering insights into the life-changing impact of scientific work. Held in over 300 cities across Europe, the 2024 edition promises an exciting mix of both face-to-face and online activities.

The “Hope Through Cancer Research” series will focus on the latest advancements in cancer care, from pioneering treatment options to innovative early detection methods. Each interview highlights the personal insights of these researchers, all working at the forefront of scientific breakthroughs to bring more effective therapies and improved outcomes to cancer patients worldwide.

Meet the Minds Behind Cancer Innovation 

Featured scientists include Manuel Sarmiento Soto and Rocío Talaverón Aguilocho from the University of Seville; John Rowell and Jean Albrengues from Université Côte d’Azur’s Institute of Research on Cancer and Ageing (IRCAN); and renowned oncologists Lucia del Mastro and Marco Tagliamento from the University of Genoa and IRCCS Ospedale Policlinico San Martino. Joining them are Raffael Heiss from MCI, The Entrepreneurial School, and Maša Ždralević from the University of Montenegro.

These researchers are leading the charge in finding new ways to tackle cancer—whether through immunotherapy, personalized medicine, or novel therapeutic strategies. By sharing their work, the series aims to inspire hope and deepen public understanding of how cancer research is transforming lives. 

The interviews of ‘Hope Through Cancer Research’ will be launched from 20-27 of September at Ulysseus social media channels and will be available also at Ulysseus website.
