Researchers specialised in AI get together in Helsinki
Big Data, Human Centric Learning, Machine Learning and Ethics of AI were some of the topics under discussion during the Researchers’ Days in Helsinki. During these days they will identify new opportunities for research and collaboration.
Thirty researchers from the six partner universities of the Ulysseus European University (University of Seville, Spain; University of Genoa, Italy; Université Côte d’Azur, France; the Technical University of Kosice, Slovakia; MCI | The Entrepreneurial School, Austria, and Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, Finland) attended the Ulysseus Compass Researchers’ Days in Helsinki. This event, organised by the Innovation Hub of Artificial Intelligence of Ulysseus, based in Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, aimed at identifying synergies amongst researchers to explore future projects and activities in the same areas of expertise.
”We focus on these areas in our research, development and innovation projects, combine them with student projects, and apply methods, create service concepts, prototypes and solutions – and competencies for both our staff and students. Involving Ulysseus partners and collaborating with them is an important part of this equation”, underlined Salla Huttunen, Vice-President at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences.
On September 21-22, researchers with expertise in AI got together in Finland to engage with peers and establish new collaborations and consortia within and beyond the Ulysseus alliance.
This event will enable, through a series of workshops, to address upcoming opportunities. The objective is to develop new joint European projects. The focus is on Horizon Europe calls, an EU key funding program for research and innovation. Additionally, researchers may establish other collaborations for future scientific workshops, seminars, congresses, courses and mobilities within the Ulysseus framework.
