Living Lab Networking at Münster

Living Lab Networking at Münster

On 3 July 2025, the University of Münster will host a regional networking event as part of the nationwide initiative “Open Living Lab Days 2025.” The event aims to showcase past and ongoing living lab projects and initiatives from the region, foster exchange among stakeholders, and spark potential (research) collaborations for the future.

The event contributes to strengthening the living lab approach of the InnoHub Socio-Ecological Sustainability within the Ulysseus alliance.

About this event

Join Us for the Open Real Lab Day 2025 to explore this full-day workshop, which blends informal community engagement with structured, transdisciplinary exploration of sustainability and innovation. The day begins with a communal breakfast to foster open dialogue and shared purpose, followed by a mix of lectures, lab tours, and interactive sessions. Participants engage with real-world laboratories (Living Labs), which are collaborative environments for co-creating and testing sustainable futures.

Key components include:

  • A motivational lecture („Make the difference yourself!“) to inspire personal and collective agency.
  • Guided tours of Living Labs showcasing ongoing sustainability initiatives.
  • Hands-on interaction with selected labs to deepen understanding.
  • A closing session aimed at forming future research collaborations.

Living Labs are spaces in which we work together in a transdisciplinary and cooperative manner, learn from each other, deal with challenges in a reflective manner, and jointly develop and test sustainable and desirable futures.
