Joint Master Degree in AI for Business Transformation

General overview

AI for Business Transformation is a two-year, 120 ECTS joint degree Master program coordinated by Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences and offered jointly with other Ulysseus European University alliance member institutions: the Management Center Innsbruck, the Technical University of Košice, Université Côte d’Azur, University of Genoa, and University of Seville.

This full-time 120 ECTS program, crafted by Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences in collaboration with Ulysseus European University Alliance partners, spans across Europe, offering students a borderless educational experience rich in cultural diversity with study semesters at least in three different European universities and countries.

Degree awarded

European Joint Master of Business Administration, AI for Business Transformation (MBA in Finland and Spain) valid as a Master of Arts in Business (MA in Austria).

Begin your studies at Haaga-Helia in Finland, exploring AI in business. Advance to Management Center Innsbruck, Austria to deepen your knowledge in AI for Business. Choose your specialization in the third semester: AI methods at Technical University of Košice, Slovakia, or a transdisciplinary approach at the University of Seville, Spain. Cap off your journey with a potentially industry-commissioned Master’s thesis, with options for integrated internships at various locations. The fourth semester covering transversal skills can be conducted from any of the above mentioned universities.

Employment opportunities

The expertise gained through the AI for Business Transformation programme provides the skills and competences required to work in positions situated at the crossroads of business and AI technologies. The graduates will have the knowledge and skills to plan, develop and implement AI-driven business transformation projects. They are prepared for various expert and leadership roles such as manager of ICT service development projects, business analyst, AI specialist, IT-consultant and trainer.

Future perspectives (Masters Degree that may complement this course): Relevant PhD studies.

Learning outcomes

  • Identify and assess potential data sources and operation models for business development to foster management support and to create business value.
  • Understand data and AI governance principles and management of AI development and implementation processes from the organisation’s executive (C-level) point of view.
  • Implement the whole process from large and complex raw data to visualizations and/or models, including the presentation of results in appropriate AI-driven user interfaces.
  • Understand the mathematical and statistical concepts behind the building and evaluation of AI models.
  • Demonstrate practical experience to use AI tools, platforms and frameworks for building AI based solutions by using AI programming and querying languages.Apply, evaluate, design and co-create AI products and services that are trustworthy, ethical and comply with European rules and regulations as well as social requirements.
  • Integrate AI into business and public sector strategies and know how to assess the impact of AI initiatives.
  • Demonstrate skills in project management, team leadership and collaboration to lead AI change projects (project and portfolio management, project controlling).

Entrance examination: 10 October 2024 (Phase 1, online) and 24 October 2024 (Phase 2, On-site interview in Pasila Campus, Helsinki, Finland).
