African university professors strengthen collaboration within the framework of the Neema Project

In recent weeks, Prof. Lucienne K. Ndione, along with professors from Cheikh Anta Diop University (UCAD), held a significant meeting to enhance collaboration within the Neema Project framework. This pivotal meeting aimed to establish cooperation channels with the Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) program and the European SUN project.

The Scaling Up Nutrition program, an initiative promoted by the United Nations, focuses on global nutritional improvement and has a substantial presence in West Africa. The European SUN project supports these efforts by providing essential resources and strategic guidance. Prof. Lucienne K. Ndione, Director of CREDILA at UCAD and a key partner in the Neema Project, participated in these meetings along with representatives from the involved entities.

Next events

In addition, the Neema Project Steering Committee will meet in Dakar, followed by a roundtable on food security and nutrition in the region. These discussions will be instrumental in consolidating partnerships and coordinating efforts to improve nutritional outcomes in West Africa.

Finally, a forthcoming meeting in Spain with the FIIAP Foundation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will further this collaboration. The Ibero-American Foundation for Public Policies and Cooperation is also eager to support these initiatives, highlighting the international commitment to food security and nutrition.

These activities mark a crucial step in strengthening relationships among various entities and enhancing projects aimed at improving the lives of communities in West Africa.
