Ulysseus Innovation Hub Day: Connecting R&I for Digital Transformation aims to foster active collaboration among innovation ecosystems of Ulysseus partner universities and their respective regions in the topic of digital transformation of industry. The event will focus on aligning project ideas suitable for Horizon Europe calls, sharing insights on current and upcoming funding opportunities, and enabling structured networking.

About this event

Ulysseus Innovation Hub Day: Connecting R&I for Digital Transformation aims to foster active collaboration among innovation ecosystems of Ulysseus partner universities and their respective regions in the topic of digital transformation of industry. The event will focus on aligning project ideas suitable for Horizon Europe calls, sharing insights on current and upcoming funding opportunities, and enabling structured networking. A strong emphasis will be placed on the role of Joint Research & Innovation Groups (JRIGs) as a foundation for developing collaborative research ideas and partnerships in the Ulysseus Community.

The brokerage and B2B sessions, facilitated in cooperation with Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) and network of European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs) surrounding Ulysseus partners, will offer targeted matchmaking based on thematic areas related to digital transformation. B2B meetings will help forming suitable consortia for future collaborations on project proposals under the Horizon Europe programme, thereby strengthening success rates within this funding scheme.
One-day event, the presentation of Ulysseus Innovation Hub at the Technical University of Košice (TUKE), will serve as a dynamic, interactive follow-up event to the Ulysseus R&I Conference held the day before, on 20 October.

This event is open to Ulysseus partners, their researchers, innovators, start-up as well as associated partners, stakeholders and other participants outside our European University alliance. It supports IH TUKE’s mission to drive innovation through collaborative research, technology transfer, and strategic partnerships, ultimately accelerating digital transformation and enhancing the impact and visibility of research and innovation outcomes. The conference is part of the Ulysseus Košice Week.

Ulysseus Košice Week

Running 20 – 24 October 2025 at the Technical University of Košice, Ulysseus Košice Week is set to be the alliance’s flagship multi-event of the year, packaging twenty back-to-back activities into one vibrant programme. Alongside high-level governance meetings such as the Ulysseus Summit and Governing Council, the week weaves in ten internal project sessions, specialised workshops and student assemblies while opening its doors to the wider community through four headline public events: the Ulysseus R&I Conference on Digital Transformation of Industry, the presentation of Ulysseus Innovation Hub at TUKE, an Equality–Diversity–Community Engagement forum and the art-and-science session Creative Playgrounds.

By blending strategic project work with outward-facing forums on digitalisation, entrepreneurship, inclusion and the arts, Ulysseus Košice Week will transform Košice into a living laboratory of Ulysseus research, innovation and civic engagement, showcasing the alliance’s impact across Europe.
