MODERN ELECTRICAL DISTRIBUTION NETWORKS is a first approach to power networks and all the main actors connecting to them.
We will review the main characteristics of medium and low voltage grid as well as the distributed players connected to them: renewable generation, electric vehicles, and active and passive consumers among others. We will describe the new challenges faced by distribution network planners and operators as a consequence of the high penetration of low carbon technologies and the singularities of these technologies.
