On 29 September Ulysseus celebrated the European Researchers\u2019 Night, a Europe-wide public event which aims at bringing science closer to the public in a fun and inspiring ways. For this occasion, some Ulysseus experts explained us in a series of four mini interviews how Artificial Intelligence is bringing benefits to citizens in different ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At this interview, Stephan Schl\u00f6gl, Professor of Human-Centered Computing at MCI | The Entrepreneurial School (Innsbruck, Austria), addresses the question \u201cHow can AI help companies become more sustainable?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Schl\u00f6gl holds an MSc in Human-Computer Interaction from University College London and a PhD in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin. His main research focuses on natural language based human-computer interfaces. In his doctoral research, he investigated Wizard of Oz prototyping as a design and research instrument. This work was continued through a post-doctoral position at Institute Mines T\u00e9l\u00e9com, T\u00e9l\u00e9com ParisTech. There, Dr. Schl\u00f6gl was involved in the development of an adaptive communication interface to support simple and efficient interaction with elderly users. In 2013, Dr. Schl\u00f6gl joined the MCI as a faculty member. Next to his research, he now teaches courses in Human-Computer Interaction, Software Engineering, Business Analytics, Artificial Intelligence and Research Methods.
