Starting from a simple observation, that contemporary life is increasingly translated into data, the presentation explores how automated systems are already involved in decisions that affect people\u2019s lives: hiring processes, rankings, access to loans, digital platforms, and many other forms of algorithmic evaluation. These systems are often perceived as neutral or purely technical.
