During this course, you will learn how to handle the most common everyday life situations both oral and written in French, in a professional manner, and develop further cultural and intercultural skills.

Note that this is an online synchronous course with mandatory online lessons every Thursday at 10-13 CET starting on January 18.

Learning outcomes

This course is aimed at everyone who has already acquired some basics of the French language and culture and who wants to develop it further, in order to use it actively and efficiently in the everyday life and work situations, both orally and written. During this course, you will learn and practice:
– Pronunciation
– Structures of the language in the present, future and past
– Describing your close environment
– Expression of opinion
– Work and everyday life schedule and activities
– Giving direction
– Booking a table and a hotel room & buying train ticket

Through your active participation in this course, you will be able to:
– Manage in oral or written every day and basic work situations
– Use the structures of the language for both oral and written situations
– Recognize and adapt to the cultural specificity of the French speaking countries

Course content

During this course, you will deepen the knowledge you have acquired in the French Beginner 1 course or elsewhere.

You will learn how to handle the most common everyday life situations orally and written, in a professional manner. You will be able to discuss in the present, the future and the past. You also will develop further cultural and intercultural skills.
