The event was designed for teachers, students, and those with a general interest in AI who wanted to stay ahead in the rapidly evolving AI landscape. Participants had the chance to learn, discuss, and connect with peers about where AI was heading next.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The hybrid event took place in the Applied AI for Business and Education Innovation Hub at Haaga-Helia\u2019s Pasila campus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Speaker:<\/strong><br>Dr Umair Ali Khan is a Senior Researcher in the Digitalization &amp; Artificial Intelligence group at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences in Helsinki, Finland, where he specializes in applied AI, machine learning, natural language processing, and generative AI. His work spans knowledge extraction with large language models, AI agents, and knowledge graph integration with LLMs. Dr Khan also serves as an AI Advisor for the Finnish AI Region (FAIR) project, assisting companies in developing AI roadmaps and leading PoC development to demonstrate technical feasibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He holds a Ph.D. in Information Technology from Alpen Adria University, Klagenfurt, Austria, and also teaches as a professor at Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Sciences and Technology in Pakistan. Dr Khan is recognized for his active contributions to European digital innovation initiatives, grant writing, and collaborative AI research with industry and academic partners.
