Thesis Competition:Top student’s final thesis with the business potential

To apply for the competition can anyone who in the academic year 2024/2025 successfully defended its bachelor thesis, diploma thesis or final thesis of doctoral study at the Technical University in Kosice, Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, or one of the partner universities of the Ulysseus European University, until August 31st 2025.

The topics are as follows:

1. MANUFACTURING
   Focus: Innovative solutions for industry, manufacturing, automation, robotics, energy, materials, transport, or technical infrastructure.
   Typical topics: Industry 4.0, digital factory, production optimization, smart manufacturing, machines and equipment, new materials.
2. HEALTH
   Focus: Solutions focused on health, biomedicine, life sciences, medical technologies, psychology, or public health.
   Typical topics: Diagnostics, healthcare applications, bioinformatics, public health, mental health, wearable sensors, AI in medicine.
3. DIGITAL BUSINESS
   Focus: Innovations in business, services, finance, law, marketing, information systems, and the digital society.
   Typical topics: E-commerce, enterprise information systems, fintech, digital marketing, cybersecurity in business, legal aspects of IT.
4. SOCIETY & ART
   Focus: Projects that bring a positive impact on society, the environment, sustainable development, education, or the public sector.
   Typical topics: Smart cities, green technologies, inclusive technologies, environmental applications, social innovations, artistic innovations.

Apply for the competition and get a support for the practical usage of your final thesis. The winners of the competition will not only get the financial award helping them with their further development, but they will be able to extend their solution in the real environment of the startup center and incubator in University Science Park Technicom (TUKE) and Innovlab startup (Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions Slovakia) center by creating their own startup.

The final thesis will be assessed by the professional representatives from the university and business environment.

Important: Students are obligate to inform their consultant or supervisor of their invention to participate in the competition.

• Closing the applications 31st of August 2025
• Announcing the winners 30th September 2025
• The Finale of the competition – presentations of the thesis, evaluation, final results announced in September 2025.
